Our Mission

The purpose of the Dover Democratic Committee is to improve the quality of life of all persons, especially residents of Dover, New Hampshire, through the democratic process of government at the local, county, state, and national levels.  We work to promote and support the Democratic Party, to identify and elect strong Democratic candidates and to advance legislative actions reflective of Democratic values.

Who We Are

According to the bylaws of the NH Democratic Party and the DDC, all Dover residents registered as Democrats are considered members of the DDC. Those who regularly attend the Dover Dem’s meetings and other activities represent a wide range of Dover residents. We welcome all those who support democratic values regardless of race, religion, national or ethnic origin, age, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, or economic status.

The Executive Committee of the DDC includes four elected officers (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer) and our At-Large Delegates. These individuals are elected by registered Democrats in Dover at a local caucus held in odd numbered years. Election to the Dover Democratic Executive Committee is open to all Democratic Party members registered to vote in Dover, NH.
